I spent almost two decades in Indiana newsrooms before joining a university marketing and public relations team in 2007, yet I have a lifelong fascination with fairy tales and legends, which is why I have written novels set in the days of Charlemagne.
The Cross and the Dragon is a love story amid wars and blood feuds, and The Ashes of Heaven’s Pillar is a tale of the lengths a mother will go to protect her children. I am working on a third novel about Fastrada, Charlemagne’s most influential and hated wife.
I use this space to blog about history, writing, and whatever else inspires me. I live in Indiana with my husband, Randy, and our spoiled cat. We have a daughter and three adorable granddaughters.
